What is Regulator? What Does It Do?

In regulator low voltage systems, they are called single-winding transformers that are used as amplifiers in cases where the energy is more or less in the range of -90V, +50V.

Regulators are single-winding transformers in which the input and output voltages are adjusted by the ratio of the input and output windings of the transformers. The working principle of the regulators regulates the voltage by manually stepping adjustments in servo regulators, in cases where the voltage at the input is low, in case the input voltage is high, the input winding becomes less wound than the output winding. Regulator systems known as voltage amplifiers; It is divided into types as servo regulator, static regulator and microprocessor regulator. Regulators prevent the rise, fall and all imbalances in the mains voltage. A voltage regulator is a device that prevents rises and falls in the mains voltage. Regulators keep physical quantities such as voltage, current, frequency, speed, pressure constant according to their properties. A voltage regulator is known as a voltage booster. It provides resistance when necessary against the change of energy for different reasons. The voltage regulator has the ability to lower and lower the energy. Raising and lowering the energy by the regulator is realized by the electronic circuit inside the device. With the electronic protection facility, the regulator cuts the voltage electromechanically in case of voltage drops and increases outside the device settings, thus preventing damage to the environment.

Regulators are necessary systems for those who share transformers in rural areas and unorganized industrial areas where transformer distances are far. In such regions, higher voltage than normal is taken in places close to the transformer due to the step setting. In remote areas, less voltage is received than normal. The regulator adjusts the energy level setting locally in such places. It is ensured by the regulator that the individual voltage is taken at normal levels and that the electronic systems receive the voltage they need. It is wrong to consider a regulator as a surge protector or surge suppressor. Voltage fluctuation is not recommended intensively for combi boilers.

Regulators eliminate imbalances such as falling and rising in the uneven grid energy. Regulators; It is used in CNC benches in industry, motor drivers in factories, medical devices in hospitals, computers in our workplaces, wherever there are electrical and electronic devices. If your mains energy is low, high or fluctuating, you should use a regulator or voltage booster. The regulator monitors the fluctuations in the mains electricity. It keeps the output voltage at standard level with automatic voltage regulation. Electricity ensures the smooth operation of electronic devices. It eliminates the risk of malfunctions that may occur in these devices. Thus, damage to the environment is prevented.
